Kenneth Stuart Thyne Jr.

Woodcliff Lake - Kenneth Stuart Thyne Jr. died peacefully at his home in Woodcliff Lake, N.J. on the 18th of November, 2018. He was 84 years old.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Moira O'Farrell Thyne. He also had a sister Joan and a sister-in-law Anne and was preceded in death by his brother Robert. Ken was the proud father of four children, Kenneth and his wife Valerie, Catherine and her husband Richard More, Stephen and his wife Kathleen and Kevin and his wife Cathleen. 'Poppy' also had eleven grandchildren: Stephen, Patrick, Kevin, Brian, Allison, Amy, Kenny, Kelly, Jimmy, Erin and Matt.

Ken graduated from Manhattan College in 1957 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He spent his career as the CFO of Jaeger Sportswear Ltd. and with Church's English Shoes. He was a long-time member of Our Lady Mother of the Church in Woodcliff Lake.

Ken was an accomplished golfer for his college team. He also loved skiing, traveling and, most of all, spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Ken was an adventurous cook and a 'unique' food connoisseur that loved entertaining his family and friends at his home.

A memorial mass is scheduled for Saturday, December 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady Mother of the Church in Woodcliff Lake with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ken's life.

The family would like to thank the Veteran's Administration of East Orange N.J. for their efforts, care and dedication to Ken during his life.
