Paul Hummel Obituary
Fairview - Paul S. Hummel, of Fairview, NJ passed away suddenly on June 26, 2020. Paul was born on April 10, 1951 to the late Marion and William Hummel and was a lifelong resident of Fairview. Paul graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hall University, and went on to be a journalist, business owner and security supervisor.
He enjoyed and excelled at playing the saxophone, fishing, the ponies and regaling his friends and families with imitations and tales of yesteryear. Paul was a devout Catholic and gave of himself to others.
He is survived by his brother, Christopher Hummel, his nephews Christopher Hummel and Cole Hummel, his cousins Barbara Podstowski, David Cigolini, John Cigolini, John Hummel, Esq., Jennifer Hummel and Brian Hummel.
Cremation was handled privately by A. K. Macagna Funeral Home, and a funeral mass and celebration of Paul's life will be held in the near future. Friends and family will be notified.

My heartfelt and deepest condolences go out to the Hummel family at this time. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. I had the opportunity to hang with Paul in his early days. A good card player, baseball player and fisherman. Later, the ponies. Always easy going, never seen him angry. A good friend. RIP Paul, you touched a lot of individuals with your kindness.

Our sincere condolences go out to Pauls family . We are very shocked of his sudden passing.
We were neighbors to the Hummel Family for over 50 years. Paul was the Mayor of Sherman Place. He was always there if you needed a hand with something , he never said no. He came over on our porch and talked many times with us and especially with my late husband Henry. They helped each other with different things throughout the years. He was proud of his articles he wrote and often times shared with us. Sherman Place will not be the same.
