Shirley Rutz Obituary

Shirley Mae Rutz, age 87, a resident of Toms Brook, VA, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Rutz will be laid to rest in East Greenville, PA and a memorial service will be conducted at a later date here in Strasburg, VA.

She was born June 9, 1925 in East Greenville, PA, a daughter of the late Marvin and Florence Eck Leh. She was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ in East Greenville, PA, and attended Strasburg Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David L. Eckhardt; and two sisters, Janet Fetterman and Erma Shaner.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jack T. Rutz of Toms Brook, VA; a son, Dana Eckhardt of Titusville, FL; four grandchildren; and a sister, Bessie Gaugler of Barto, PA.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of memorial contributions to Strasburg Presbyterian Church-Building Fund, 325 S. Holliday Street, Strasburg, VA 22657.
