It was with great shock when I heard of Ari’s death. I had only spoken to him a couple of months back and regulary exchanged emails with him.

I had only known Ari for the last 3 years of his life but with his guidance I found the strength to start living my dreams.

My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.

With deepest sympathy,

It was with the deepest sorrow that I learned of Ari's passing last week. My words of condolence have no power to alter your family's loss, but words are all we have. Ari and I had a fine conversation at our Harvard '54 class reunion last June. We sat in adjacent chairs at one of the commencement ceromonies and he was vibrant and eager to chat about many things. I took several pictures of Ari and my wife Ann while we were all waiting for the march of our class through the channel formed by the present graduating class, clapping as the older graduates marched by. Ann told me that Ari had tears in his eyes as the ceromony began. It is a shock for me to know that this creative and vigorous fellow is gone.

I shall soon send you copies of the pictures of Ari talking to Ann.

I know that the Kiev family suffers greatly, but its strength will bring it through this tragic loss.

Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer. We wanted to let you know that you have our greatest sympathy, and our hearts are truly saddened.
And, we know that his passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew him. If there is anything that we can do to help you in anyway, please do not hesitate to call us at anytime.
