We only met Karen and Bob 10 years ago, on a Seabourn cruise, and hit it off immediately.
With Bob's great sense of humour, general knowledge of the world, and positive outlook on life, it was a real privilege to know him, even though for a relatively short time.
All our thoughts are with Karen and his family.

Robert was my second "dad". I loved his smile, wit and twinkle in his eye. I will keep in my heart all the very good moments spent together. You have been part of my life since adolescence when I met Margaret in France first (we were 15), early adulthood and older age by now... You will be in my heart forever. All my thoughts to Karen, Margaret and Deborah

He was a great patient, lovely man and it was a privilege to treat him. Deepest sympathies from his plastic surgeon and friend in Cape Town, South Africa.

I love reading all of these beautiful remembrances of my dad. I am so grateful for all the people who love him, and of course to Karen who took such good care of him always. He was always a proud and encouraging dad, and always interested in what Deborah and I were up to, and in the lives of his grandchildren. I so admired his amazing positivity in the face of many health challenges over the years. Missing him so much, still hard to believe I can't pick up the phone to call him.

59 years ago Bob stood up for us at our wedding. It has been our great pleasure to know Robert through the years and enjoy his friendship, knowledge and wit. He was positive-thinking and brave throughout his life and no one could have taken better care of him than Karen. We send our condolences to Karen and the entire family.

Rest in peace old friend. So many happy memories of you when we were young--Nantasket, NY when you were at Columbia, getting together with my cousin Irwin.
My deepest condolences to your family.

Bob (or Bobby as he was always known to me) was the cousin on my father’s side who was closest to Priscilla and me. He visited with us when we lived in Rhode Island and he and Karen visited us when they were about to embark from Fort Lauderdale on one their many cruises. We treasure the last few words he spoke to us shortly before his passing.

Bob and Karen have been wonderful neighbors of mine since 1999. We share so many interests: reading, current events, history, spirited and intellectual discourse, telling stories of our lives and experiences, cruising aboard Seabourn, good food and drink, laughter, memory-making. Bob was a prominent attorney with an iconic San Francisco law firm, but I knew him as a funny, garrulous, interesting man who had many interests and much to give the world. He did it with a wry grin and a twinkle in his eye. I thought I was a raconteur but Bob Solomon was the best. Rest now, my friend. You’ve earned it.

Bob was a great man and it was a joy getting together with him and his wife, Karen from time to time. I live next door and especially enjoyed hearing Bob’s stories and experiences in his personal and professional life. Being from New England as well we had lots to talk about. May he Rest In Peace, he will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to Karen and his family.
