STEADMAN WESTERGAARD Obituary

WESTERGAARD--Steadman H., died April 4, 2015 at the age of 58 following a brief illness. He was a partner of the firm Fulton, Rowe & Hart LLP and was also a director of the van Ameringen Foundation and the Lily Auchincloss Foundation. Mr. Westergaard graduated from the College of Charleston in 1978 and subsequently attended Columbia University earning an M.A. in 1980 and a J.D. in 1983. Mr. Westergaard practiced in several firms prior to joining Fulton, Rowe & Hart LLP in 1996. Mr. Westergaard is survived by his partner of 30 years, Michael Young, and by a brother, Andreas Westergaard, III. A brief memorial service will be held at the Columbarium of the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine on April 15, 2015 at 1:15pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine.

Thinking of you, Ted... those glorious years at International House, where you demonstrated your wicked sense of humor (and don't worry - they never did figure out who created & posted those hilarious "tasteless tabloids"). And then there were our countless get-togethers in the Village - so many joyous good times. I miss your kindness, gentleness, your gentlemanliness - you were one in a million. Rest in eternal peace, dear friend.
