Every time I visit Manhattan, I always remember the great meals and stimulating conversations we had. I often wonder what he would observe about the messy political scene we have today. I really miss the guy; he was a great friend .... RIP Bill..,

I worked with in government. He was smart,
funny and loved to talk but it was good talk.
Another good one gone. JACK DEACY

I also was a former work mate and fellow Upper West Sider with Bill (William to me). He was always willing to bend and lend an ear, no matter the topic. A great sense of humor and life's ironies. Was not aware of his passing and will miss being alert to the chance encounter with him on the UWS.
He always had an update on Peter and Lily and was extremely proud and fond of them.

Bill and I were former work mates many years ago and regular dinner companions in Manhattan over many years. I just learned of his passing. I will remember Bill as a smart, engaging guy with an insatiable curiousity to understand how things worked, and a person who was generous with his opinions and his views on almost anything. He laughed easily and loved having a good drink and a good meal. He talked often of his kids and endured many hours of my ramblings about my career and my family. I will miss him greatly and offer my condolences to his loved ones. Bill was an original....

My favorite memory of my Uncle Bill is that I remember spending the day with my Dad and Uncle Bill at the farmer's market in Madison. He was so much fun to start a conversation with. He was a very intelligent man, and he will be missed greatly.

I will remember Bill as an enthusiastic supporter of Wesleyan Women's Crew, Teresa's restaurant and most of all Lily and Peter. His zest for life and hearty commentary will be missed. Wishing love and comfort especially to Lily, Peter, Clara, Greg, and Miriam.

I remember so many wonderful conversations with Bill at our church coffee hours. I will never forget that big, warm smile, the kind eyes, and the hearty laugh.
