Robert Morrow Obituary

MORROW--Robert P., Jr., 87, died April 27, after a short illness. He lived in Buffalo and Holloway Bay, Ontario. Surviving are his four children: R. Peter, III (Suzanne) of Buffalo, David G. Morrow (Sue Anne) of Lawrenceville, NJ, Rebecca O. Morrow of NYC, and Daniel J. Morrow (Victoria Saxon) of Buffalo. His wife of 48 years, the former Mary Galvin, died in 1992. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: Robert P., IV and Harry; Jacob, Samuel and Ruth; Connor and Graham Puleo; and Jean, John and Anne Morrow. He founded R. P. Morrow Associates, P.C., the oldest consulting engineering firm in Buffalo. A graduate of Canisius High School and Cornell University, he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He was one of the first American officers to visit Nagasaki after the Japanese surrender. At the age of 40 he learned to fly. He was a certified commercial, multiengine and glider pilot and flight instructor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00am in St. Mark's Church, Buffalo, NY on Saturday, May 3. A viewing is planned for Friday, May 2, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Amigone Funeral Home, Delaware Avenue near North Street. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
