Dear Dorothy,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss of David after his long illness. He was a lovely, sweet and good man, who was a role model in so many ways to the rest of us on the Wurzweiler board. I cannot
forget the way he would tell tales of his simple, direct and clear way of meeting people and telling them about the good works he found meaningful and important. His believe in chesed and charity was powerful and we were all influenced by his Jewish commitment to
Wurzweiler School.
Words cannotn take away the pain and sadness you and your children are feeling at this time, but both Henry and I hope that the good memories that you have of him will, in time, help you smile and feel his wonderful warmth around you.
Most sincerely,
Joan Katz

Dear Dorothy - My deepest condolences. David was a wonderful person, supremely dedicated to both his family and his larger community. His involvement in JINSA as a Board Member was a source of great comfort to me, as he always had a helpful suggestion, a useful caution, and a kind word. He took his responsibilities to the Board seriously, but I think enjoyed the people we met and traveled with, as well as a sense of accomplishment. I will truly miss him.
