She was a real force, and mentored me in Chicago when I was right out of graduate school. Always kind and hilarious. I´m so sorry she´s left us.

I just told someone recently of Vicki's exhibit "1000 views of NYC" and someone else of the memorial walk through Greenwich Village, led by a Mariachi band. I am in the process of moving and just wrapped one of her fabulous ink drawings to bring to my new space. Vicki is embedded in my heart.

Vicki knew how to live in perpetuity- through her art and her smile. Just the thought of her still fills a room with light.

So strange to believe it's been four years since Vickie was with us in this realm. It seems both so long ago and as fresh as yesterday. I believe she exists in some timeless space, still so accessible in memory and in her art, yet just out of mortal reach. I held a framed drawing of hers just yesterday-- one with a bit of color-- a bouillon cube-- and I said hello to her, sent her my love. This has been repeated countless times over the last few years as I have been packing to move from Brooklyn and as I cared for my late mom. I had given Vickie's art to my mom and several other family members. They all loved her work and I see Vickie here in Tennessee on various walls. It's always a pleasant surprise and a chance to communicate with her again. I get to laugh with her again seeing a Durian, canned cranberry sauce in an elegant dish, an accordion with a message of passionate love. Ah Vickie! How happy I am to have known you. Love you, never forgetting you.

Vicki clearly enriched so many of us through her friendship and unique way of seeing us as individuals. I am one of the fortunate ones who got to spend a little time with her through artwork. I will miss her a lot and I send condolences to Glenn and her family.
From one of Vicki's incredible sketch books.

My wife June and I will always remember the wonderful times we had with Vicky and her husband Glenn. Vicky was a warm and beautiful person, fun-loving and very gifted as an artist in the tradition of Saul Steinberg. Half a dozen pieces of her artwork hang
proudly in our home as a constant reminder of her incisive wit about the world combined with superb drafting skills with pen and ink. This is a great loss to the art world and everyone who knew and loved her. Our deepest condolences to Glenn and Vicky's family for her untimely loss. Leslie and June Buch
