Michael Eric Behm

Michael E. Behm, affectionately known as Mike to his friends and family, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Born on April 22, 1966, in Buffalo, New York, Mike's humor and zest for life left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, whose memory will be cherished and celebrated.

Mike's early life in Buffalo was filled with the warmth of a close-knit family. He was the cherished son of Randall and Ann Behm, the brother to Randy "Butch" Behm, Jennifer Behm-Kwiatkowski , and Tom Behm. He helped raise two wonderful sons, Wiley and Samuel Behm. Mike's role as a father was one he treasured deeply, and his guidance and humor will be a guiding light for his sons throughout their lives.

A proud graduate of Old Dominion University, Mike's intelligence and passion for engineering were evident in his academic achievements and his professional career. His innovative spirit and problem-solving abilities made him a respected figure in his field. Mike's son Wiley, followed in his footsteps and also graduated from ODU.

Mike's interests were as varied as they were passionate. Him and his long time girlfriend, Allison Dickens, were avid travelers, they sought adventure in every corner of the States, exploring new places and climbing new heights. In fact, they climbed the highest mountains in 25 of our 50 states together. Allison and Mike loved each other dearly to the end.

Mike's love for his hometown team, the Buffalo Bills, was a lifelong affair, and game days were always a special occasion in the Behm household. Mike delighted in cooking delicious food for his family and friends, often sharing stories and laughter around the dinner table.

Those who knew Mike will remember him as a man of many talents. His quick wit and sense of humor were matched only by his adventurous spirit and intelligence.

As we bid farewell to Michael E. Behm, we celebrate a life lived with laughter, love, and a boundless curiosity for the world. His legacy of kindness, humor, and wisdom will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Mike's journey through life was a testament to the beauty of embracing each day with enthusiasm and an open heart. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire us all.
