Mrs. Penuel was one of my teachers in elementary school at Ward-Highlands. She was one of the best teachers I had during my school career. She was also one of my favorites. She helped me a lot and was very patient with me to make sure I understood what I was doing since it was pretty clear that I wasn't a fan of school. Through the years I'd still visit her when I could after leaving her classroom. I was very sad to hear the news and I wish I could have visited her one more time but unfortunately I moved out of state two years ago and haven't had the chance to return for a visit. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Vicky. Jason. Jessica. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sadness. Also, I shall be thinking of your Mom this Mother's Day and celebrating the blessings of her special loving & caring ways...especially so, as a shining teacher to so many of our young children. Amen.
