Shirley L. Posten

BEALLSVILLE, Ohio Shirley L. Posten, 68, passed away on April 6, 2005, at the Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, W. Va.

Born in Sandyville, W. Va., he was a resident of Beallsville for the past six years, previously of Norton for 43 years. He was employed by the Babcock and Wilcox Co. for 39 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Barberton Civitan Club, the V.F.W. Post 1066, and was active with both Little League Baseball and the Boy Scouts of America. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sarah; first wife, Mary L.; and brother, Cecil Posten, he is survived by his loving wife, Sharon L.; sons, Michael (Laura) of Doylestown, Ohio, Kenneth (Regina) of Swartz Creek, Mich.; daughter, Theresa (Troy) Shiflett of Kenmore; stepdaughter, Gina Singleton of Doylestown; four grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren; brother, Robert Posten of Sandyville, W. Va.; sisters, Opal (Hubert) Somerville of Elizabeth, W. Va., Hattie Spencer of Clinton, Ohio; best friend and nephew, Robert Montgomery, and many more nieces and nephews too numerous to men tion.

Funeral services will be Sunday, 2 p.m.. at the Hahn-Hostetler-Silva Funeral Home, Rev. Robert Webb Jr. officiating. Call ing hours will be Saturday evening, 6 to 9. Tributes to remem ber the life of Shirley may be made at
