Harold Lantz Obituary
May 24, 1948 - Apr 10, 2012
Age 63. Omaha. He was born on to Harold and Ruth (Ruby) Lantz in Lincoln, NE. Harold graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln School of Law in 1975. He practiced law for many years with the St. Paul Insurance Company and in later years established a private law practice. He is remembered for his generosity with family and friends and his unique (wicked) sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Lantz. He is survived by his brother, Jim Lantz of Lincoln and partner Jeff Hoffman; niece Erika Peterson and spouse Jesse Peterson of Blaine MN; nephew Jacob Hoffman and spouse Krista Bartholomew of Portland OR; special cousins Debbie Sheldon, spouse Chris and family of Omaha; John Alan Fox, MD, spouse Suzanne and family of Hanover, MA; uncle Don Ruby and spouse Florann of Henderson, NV. The family wishes to thank his many kind neighbors and friends who treated him as family.
FUNERAL SERVICES will be officiated by Pastor Ranae Koehler at 1 pm on Friday, April 13, 2012, at Vine Congregational United Church of Christ Church, 1800 Twin Ridge Road, Lincoln, followed by coffee and dessert at 1546 Sunset Road, Lincoln. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Pavilion, Champions Run, 13800 Eagle Run, Omaha, on Friday, April 13, 2012, beginning at 5:00 pm (bring your favorite "H" story). Memorials to Vine Congregational United Church of Christ Church or charity of choice. Condolences may be left at

Harold...it was really nice knowing you. I am so sorry that we lost touch. I'll never forget your humor at my Christmas parties and summer functions as well as at your neighbor Shirley's house either. You were a pleasure to know. Hope you're at peace. Bless you and your family
