Glenn Braselton Obituary
Mr. Braselton, a native of Jackson County, lived in Athens for the past 41 years and in Birmingham, Alabama for 16 years prior. He was a graduate of Gainesville High School and the University of Georgia. He completed two years at the University of Georgia School of Law and was conferred a JD degree from the Birmingham School of Law. He was retired from the University of Georgia, College of Agriculture Experiment Stations. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Milledge Avenue Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Edward Bolen officiating. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. in Pendergrass Church Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Glenn B. (Cathy) Braselton, III of Port Charlotte, FL, John C. Braselton and William D. Braselton, both of Athens; and grandson, Steven T. Braselton of Port Charlotte, FL.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Milledge Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund or to a favorite charity.
Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
