What Rob meant to me: Rob and I worked together for ten years at PSAC and he came to be one of my best friends during those days, rather quickly. You could be in a bad mood and after crossing Rob's path, you found yourself smiling or laughing.
Rob made me cry from laughter many a times. One of my fondest and funniest memories of our friendship is of Rob pushing me downhill on O'Connor Street with me in a wheelchair, holding on for dear life in order not to let it go, both laughing all the way to Bank Street to play at the arcades just because he felt like it.
He was a kind and gentle soul. He always saw the positive side of things. Rob was someone with whom I could share everything, even silent times. He was always there, night or day, to listen.
Regretfully, I did not keep in touch with him regularly. I wish I had. He was a true friend and I consider myself very lucky to have had him in my life.
When I think of Rob, I do and always will do so with a smile and perhaps a chuckle or two.
Bobbie and family, my deepest sympathies. You are in my thoughts and in my prayers. May your memories of Rob bring you comfort in these difficult times.
