John Dolan Obituary
John Hunter Dolan, 95, born in Pawtucket, RI Sept. 11, 1925 to John & Alice (Robichaud) Dolan, died in DelRay Beach June 13, 2021 of congestive heart failure. He enlisted as a teenager in the Navy & served for 3 years. He graduated from Brown University & worked as an executive for Grace Line steamship business in Santiago, Chile, where he met his wife Pauline [Bock]. They married in RI in 1950, & moved to Long Island, NY, where Jack worked for Moore McCormack, Italian Line and Norwegian Caribbean cruise lines. In his 50's, Jack changed careers & worked at Merrill Lynch. After retiring, he volunteered in the Peace Corps in Guatemala. He moved to DelRay Beach, & traveled the world. He is predeceased by his sister Alice Murphy, & survived by his sister Violet Dolan Burns, & numerous Murphy and Kelley grand/nephews/nieces. He leaves three children: Rod Dolan (wife Linda), Heather Dolan (wife Cindy Quartino), & Robin Dolan, & his grandson, Rod's son, Troy Dolan. He was devoted to his garden and nightly Jeopardy, and his heart was given to his dogs. Burial will be in RI.
