My cousin, Brenda, was like a sister to me growing up. I spent a lot of my time in the summer at camp with the whole family. I have a lot of great memories that I will treasure forever. Brenda and Charlie got married two weeks after my husband and I got married. We honeymooned in Florida and stayed with Brenda and Charlie towards the end of the honeymoon. I believe the highlight of the honeymoon, in my husband's eyes, was when he and Charlie spent the day bass fishing. We have a lot of wonderful times together and we miss them both. She was an angel on earth to Charlie. She took such good care of him. I was so happy to see that Brenda had found someone and was enjoying life again. Rest in peace, Brenda.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of Brenda and John. I only knew them a short time but helped guide them in Brenda's passion and fundraising for ALS in memory of Charlie. ALS is tough on the family but even harder on the care giver. It takes a special person to dedicate thier lives to others. She was pationate about continuing the fight for a cure. It was great to see her and John on Sat. at the ALS Walk, so fun and full of smiles as always. You will be missed and are in the hands of GOD now. Rest in peace...

Brenda was taken too soon from this world but certainlly earned her eternal reward given the generosity of self that she was to family, co-workers and long time friends. Brenda not only struck a handsome figure but was a confident and well-liked woman who knew herself. The years of caregiving to family drew the admiration from all.
The Pratt Whitney Bass Club tournaments, the camping and good times of friendship shared bring to mind our 'hiccups' as well as fun.
Brenda could look striking in a Pratt Whitney "power-suit" as well as back a boat trailer down a ramp better than some men.
Brenda would bring Charlie to visit Tony on several occasions while both were dealing with their own end of life medical challenges who were the best of friends at Pratt for 32 years and retired together with a great party.
Brenda's desserts, worthy of opening her own shop, were works of art and decandently wonderful that I'd be challenged to duplicate.
We still kept in touch since losing our husbands but having met John Justice, the last year, I was happy for Brenda she had him in her life. This has been a most tragic and heartbreaking event. We will miss them both.
My prayers will be that God will hold all the Jacques Family in His care and give them the strength they will need at this time.

I bet that when Brenda entered Heaven, they rolled out the red carpet and she received a standing ovation, and I'm sure she was met by her Mom, Jeff, Charlie, Grandparents, my Grandmother who she called Aunt Jo, and all of her loved ones who went before her. I'm a cousin who has known her since I was a kid though I rarely saw her over the years. I was lucky enough to spend an afternoon with her, John and Willie last summer in Maine. She was truly a special person, with so much love in her heart and so much fun to be with, and she and John seemed so happy together. Heide, Greg, all of her nieces, nephews, friends, extended family, and to John's family, my heart aches so much for you. I truly believe we'll all meet up with her again someday, and pray that your memories and love for her will comfort you until that time.

I remember most the truth that Brenda always did for others. She was a person of love and one who brought hope and peace to others. Inspiration glowed from Brenda, the glow encompassed all who were in her presence. The world will be less without Brenda. Brenda is at peace and now is surrounded with the love she once gave to others. Agnes Staab

My heart aches over the loss of such a loyal friend. I have many fond memories of our days at Pratt & Whitney and sharing birthdays a day apart. Even though our lives went in different directions since we left P&W, we had remained close friends - her friendship I will cherish forever. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time. May you rest in peace, Brenda.

Sincerely,

I have two strong memories of Brenda, who was my cousin a couple times removed. One from many years ago when I visited her and the rest of the family in Florida with my grandmother -- Nanny aka Aunt Jo. I had a wild time riding up and down the sand dunes in an open jeep and getting the sunburn of my life. The other memory is from just last summer when she and John spent an afternoon on the lake with my brothers and sisters and me in Maine. She and John seemed very happy together enjoying themselves and each other. Brenda gave it her all taking loving care of Charlie and then Claire. She deserved every ounce of happiness she got. I can't even wrap my brain around the fact that she is gone. Love to Heide, Greg, and Willie.

I miss my Aunt Brenda so very much, her and I shared so many happy moments, phone calls, texts and pictures. I have so many memories of Maine, the Square Grouper Bar and many other fun events we've done together as a family. I am deeply saddened by my Aunt's loss but know that she is up in heaven with Uncle Charlie, Grandma Claire, Daddy Boy (Jeff Jacques), Aunt Nat and everyone who my family has lost. She can't be replaced and will never be forgotten! I Love You and Miss You!

Having many memories of Brenda while working as a secretary at P&W, her smile stands out the most. I particularly enjoyed our chats about NASCAR races and our widely different opinions with our favorite drivers. Cannot imagine the void she has left with her loved ones. May you rest in peace, Brenda.

Dave and I became friends with Brenda when she married our long time friend Charlie. How sad to think that both of these wonderful people have passed. Brenda was always fun to be with but Brenda's true colors really shone when we saw her in her role as the incredible loving caregiver for Charlie during his illness. We also have fond memories of when, after Charlies's death, she and Frances Jones came to visit us in San Diego --- what a great time we had. We were delighted when Brenda shared in her recent Christmas card how she was enjoying her new relationship with John. Just seems impossible that her life was cut short. She will be missed.
