Tanner, it's been years now, but I still miss you as much as the day you left. I have no doubt that you have been a guardian angel to all of us. I hope that you're life up there, is a million times better than the great one you had down here with us. We still miss you terribly, and hope that you will be watching us till we can join you up there one day. Love you always...

Carole and family,
I just heard about your son, and was in shock. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember when you first found out that you were pregnant. You came over to Scott and my house and wanted me to help you figure out what it meant when the stick turned blue. Little did I know that at that time I was pregnant as well. Tanner was born 2 days before my middle son Steven was born. You were the best mom. You gave him everything you could. Tanner was the center of your life. We moved from Florida shortly after my daughter was born and you and I have lost touch. Even with miles between us, your name comes up on a regular basis with Scott and I. I wish I could say the pain will go away, but it wont, the day will come however when you will be able to talk about Tanner and you will smile, knowing you gave him the best life possible. Tanner was on this earth for a very short time, but after reading some of the posts in the guestbook I can tell he touched alot of peoples lives. If you need anything at all please feel free to call or write. I miss our conversations. You and your family are in my prayers. Penny and Scott Cronian

Dear carole,

Rj and I were at the Mobil Station, saw one of your vans with Tanner's memory on the back window. You have since been in our thoughts and prayers. No words can bring you comfort for such a senseless tragedy. We remember him as a sweet young boy... the time we ran into you and you told us he had moved back with you. I thought to myself, wow, she's a great mom.

I am sending you off a card today. Please be in touch. We wish we could have been there for you, but please know we send you prayers for peace and comfort.

Carol,

This morning when I saw your name come up on my caller I.D. I smiled thinking that it has been too long since we last spoke. When you told me the news of Tanner's passing I was saddened not only for your loss, however because I was not there for you when you most needed me as your friend. As I stated this morning Tanner is surely in heaven with God. I have to think to myself "How lucky is he?" He was specially chosen by God to come home. As you know he made such a huge, wonderful impression on others in his short life. Thank God for your memories of him. One of the last things you said to me this morning was not to forget to tell my children that I love them all the time and hug them as much as possible. Carol, thank you for that advise, it's the best advise I have had in a long time. I plan to take your advise and use it. In closing I want you to know that you are loved and that you have been a very special friend to me and I wish I was there to give you a big hug. Angela

Carole, I don't even know where to begin. It has been over a week now and it is still the biggest shock of my life and I am still unable to believe it. I think you can probably imagine how I am feeling and I know youre not doing any better. I will never forget all the many memories I had with Tanner. Everyday, every little thing reminds me of him, and I replay every memory I have of him. I listen to old voicemails, look at pictures, I talk to him everyday on his myspace. I talk about him with ease, even if I do cry, I love reminsicing. I am so glad that I had a special opportunity to get to know him as well as I did. What you told me at the funeral was very special to me and gave me a bit of closure. I want you to know that I treasured your son's friendship more than anything else and I just wish this wasn't true. I will come visit you every time I come back down to visit; you, jim, raquel, lauren, alex, shaun and whoever else. I will call you as much as possible just to talk and see how you are holding up. I know you know he is happy now and I am very glad that he is. I hope everything is okay with you and everyone else. I miss you guys and thank you for everything you ahve ever done for me.

RIP Tan Tan.. I miss you so much and love you with all my heart.. I cannot wait to see you again.

Carol and family, I only heard today about your so sad of a loss. I grieve for you, I bleed for you, there is never any preperation for such as this. Time slips by so quickly, it must be 6 or 7 years since we last met, I recall you with the "little ones" and puppies at the clinic.

"today a page in the book of memories is turned, if only God could turn it back and give us yesterday". Carol, be strong, the pain never goes away, but does fade with time and friends around you. From the bottom of my heart, I know the pain. I am thinking of you. Eve

Chapuis family,

I am very sorry for your loss. I cannot even begin to find the words to express how great it was to know your son. I had the pleasure of knowing Tanner for 9 years. He was one of the first friends I made when I moved here in 3rd grade. He was always the one who made everyone laugh and smile. He was an amazing friend and touched so many people. I remember going on field trips and hanging out with him at school and when we hung out with our other friends. There are so many great memories. I would just like you to know that your son meant a lot to so many people and affected their lives in such a great way. I am honored to say that I had the privelage of knowing Tanner for so long. He will be greatly missed. My prayers are with you.

To the Family of Tanner Chapuis,

I am very sorry for your loss. I was heartbroken when I read about Tanner's death in the newspaper. I haven't seen him often since I taught him in the seventh grade, but I still remember him well. I spoke with him last year at the baseball fields in the acreage, and I was amazed at what a mature young man he was becoming. Please know that many thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of sorrow.

Sincerely,

Wow! This was definitely a slap in the face. So many things I wish I would have said or done if I only would have known. Tanner was the best person anyone could know. Always there to listen, giving a shoulder to lean on, or a joke to cheer you up. Since we were babies he was my "little buddy!" I sure am going to miss you Tan Tan. Your the best cousin and friend I could have asked for! I LOVE YOU and REST IN PEACE!!! I'll be kicking your butt like old times soon...

I barely knew Tanner. But I will always remember him as the funny outgoing kid in Drama class. He always had a smile on his face except Thursday, he was sleepy but still managed to keep a smile. For some reason I just remember seeing him in the hallway on Friday. He stood out for some reason that day. I will always remember the few but fun times in Drama class with him. He will be missed greatly.

Carole and Family,

We have all known each other since forever. I remember coming to your house to play with Tanner. We had so much fun. Tanner always knew how to make me laugh even if I was in a bad mood. I remember when i broke my arm and he took me to a movie because he said a comedy was just what I needed to feel better. I will never forget the last trip and the most common one up to wet-n-wild that we took every year. He will be forever in my heart and always on my mind. I will miss him so much. Tanner you were like the brother who I actually got along with and always wanted to be around. Carole I am here for you when ever you need me. You know were to call.

Tanner was a great kid. He was a good kid. Tanner had a knack of entertaining. He always had his sister Raquel and other children happy when they were around him. Everytime I brought my 3 year old daughter around Tanner always took time out to play with her and make her smile. He was the BEST big brother and son you could have. Tanner enjoyed his life, his friends, and his family.I loved Tanner very much and sorry for your loss.

I first met Tanner through Joe when they started living together. He soon was a part of our group of friends as well as anybody else he met because he was so funny and fun to be around. When I remember all the times I was with Tanner, I can't remember one where he didn't make everyone laugh. I can only remember him smiling. He had such a great outlook on everything that I think everyone could take something from. Tanner will truly be missed.

I didn't know Tanner for all that long. The time I did know him though we managed to get Really close Really fast. He impacted my life so much and taught me many different things. He truely was a spectacular person. He had an unforgettable smile and laughter and this loving aura about him that I'm sure came from the fact that he had one of the biggest hearts in the world. He understood me, he was one of those people that you could sit and talk to for HOURS and everything made sense in the end and a great burden was lifted from your shoulders. He was a fabulous listener. In the hours that we spent just talking and being together he had so many stories about his family and friends. He loved them all so much and was eager to introduce me to all of them. Tanner was always having fun and living life and he definitely stole my heart fast and will be impossible to forget.

I know that I don't know practically anyone in this guestbook or that were involved with Tanner's life but I wanted to express my condolences to all you who knew him and were close to him, He loved you all so much and you obviously did a fantastic job raising him because he truely was one of the greatest young men I'd ever met. If there is anything I can do, I'm defintely ready to do so.

Dear, Carol, Pierre, Raquel, the rest of Tanners family and friends. I'm so sorry that you have to go through this. It's one of the worst things that a parent or anyone else can go through in their life. I didn't really know Tanner that well, but I met him a few times over a friends house and we hung out. He was a sweetheart, always making people laugh, but he was very mature. He will be missed by everyone and just know that he isnt in pain and that he is looking down on us right now. LOVE YOU TANNER R.I.P.

I've Known Tanner for over 6 years from St. Francis and before. He was there for anybody he put a smile on everybody faces. He was just the sweetest kid. We had good late night talks and conversations at school and on the computer he was just a good person to vent to but now he remains with us everyday watching down. To his family I am sorry for your lost.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Tanner's passing. I met Tanner last year during our hurricane breaks through a mutual friend. We all sat by the fire and did firecrackers because we were just surviving the 9 o'clock curfew. After the breaks, I saw Tanner on several occasions. He never failed to say "hello" and greet me with a huge hug and smile. God Bless your family and friends. Tanner will be missed dearly.

I am so shocked and deeply saddened at the news of Tanner's death. I can't even imagine the pain that you must be feeling. Tanner was a great kid and he will be greatly missed by those who

knew, loved and lost him. Carole and Pierre, this is lifes biggest and most unfair cross for you to bear.

Be patient with yourselves and with each other while you grieve for your son. Your families will never again be the same. It is horrible to think that we will never again see his face, or hear him laugh or do any of the things that he was supposed to do in his life.

I got to know Tanner over the Christmas break when he came to my house often with my son, Jesse, and a group of boys who ate like a plague of locusts! He was funny and wonderful to talk to, with a surprising maturity.

Tanner was a great kid. When he would come over to visit the girls (Kristin, Nicole & Tiffani) they would always fun. He was always respectful. He and Kristin were the same age. It was always a pleasure to see Tanner as the years have gone by. I would run into him here and there. I remember this one specific time I was at the beach up in Jupiter. I was just sitting there one day and up came Tanner and we had a wonderful conversation! He said he was waiting for his Dad to pick him up. We talked about some major things like school and divorce. He shared with me some things that he went through and gave me some insight as to how my girls were probably feeling during the difficult time of seeing me and their Dad divorce. He seemed so grown up and mature. He really was a nice guy. He had given me hope that day, that's the kind of person he was. I'll never forget him. Carole, Pierre, my thought and prayers are with you. It's just so hard to believe but just know that he truly touched many lives and will be missed by all.
