Ronald BRESNICKY Obituary

BRESNICKY, Ronald G.

Ronald G. Bresnicky passed on August 1, 2014 at the age of 86. Born in Johnstown, PA to George and Margaret, Ron lived a wonderful life in Katonah, NY and Jupiter, FL with his beloved wife, June. Ron was a brilliant golfer with a golden touch on the greens, a lover of jazz, art, and a perfectly seared steak, and a caring father to Laurie, Nancy, Carol, and Jim. Ron passed as he lived, surrounded by family, telling stories of outdriving Sam Snead, drinking with Dizzy Gillespie, and shooting pool with Joe Pass, and basking in the achievements of his treasured grandchildren Jesse, Jade, Chloe, Blake, Tyler, Sophie, Alex, and Olivia. Ron was a true gentleman, a man of rare kindness, wit and charm, and after 52 years of marriage, his eyes still lit up whenever his beautiful June came into the room. Congratulations to Ron, from all who loved him, for a life well-lived.

Ron was a true gentleman. I only had the privilege of knowing him for a few short years, but every moment I spent with him was a joy. I wish I had the honor of knowing him my whole life, so many more moments I hoped to have with him.

He called me Effie. No one else did, only my Dad. Because of him, I grew up feeling special. Memories...his two-toned whistle that signaled he was home from work...the fir tree he planted in the frozen earth every Christmas...the logs he split and fires he built in the fireplace to warm my back on cold winter nights...how when I rubbed his shoulders he said I did it better than anyone else...the way he cracked up at his own jokes...the pure joy he felt when he listened to jazz...the way he looked at me that let me know I was truly loved. I love my Dad so much. I'll really miss being called Effie.
