Terrie ALMOND Obituary
Terrie Lee Almond, 50, of Delray Beach, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016. Terrie was born in Huntingdon Valley, PA on May 27, 1965. She graduated from Florida Southern University in 1986. Terrie worked for the State of Florida as a regional manager of the child support program for 30 years. She was an active member of Victory Church in Boca Raton. Surviving Terrie is her father Robert Brian Almond and her 2nd mother Judy Almond, her mother Gwenndolyn Vickers, her sister Robyne Hammond (Richard), and her nephews Tyler McCarthy and Johnny McCarthy. Memorial Services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Victory Church East, 3499 NW 2nd Avenue, Boca Raton, FL 33431. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 235 S. County Road, #2, Palm Beach, FL 33480.

I knew Terrie from our time together in the ZTA sorority at Florida Southern College. She was a great person and loving friend. I am so sorry to hear about her passing but find joy in knowing that she is with our Lord. May her family find some comfort in this knowledge and may she rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Terrie's family and friends in this time of grief. Iknew Terrie since she moved into Lakeside Townhomes in Delray Beach. Over the years I found her to be very caring and considerate of her neighbors, and of others in our community. She touched this world and people in ways we may never know; but for me,having known her made me smile, and continues to bring the acknowledgement of a life well lived. My condolences to Terrie's family. I went to school and played sports with Terrie in High School. She was a great person and athlete. I was so glad to have gotten to see Terrie at our class reunion. I was shocked to her of her passing. We were all suppose to get back together this summer. We will truly miss that smiling face.

Terrie packed a lot of living in a very short life. My heart is sad at the thought of not seeing her smile, hearing the stories and laughter and watching her run in those ridiculously high heels. Her knowledge and leadership will be sorely missed as she did so very much for Florida's children and the CS Program. My condolences to her family (personal and work) and friends. My sincere condolences to Terrie's family during this most difficult time. I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Terrie's passing. I will be forever grateful for the mentoring I received from Terrie the six months I was in WPB. I've been reflecting on our many conversations. She had such a giving heart, and she was very giving of her knowledge. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and we would laugh and laugh after she pranked me. Terrie touched the lives of so many, in so many different ways. Rest easy, Terrie. May the Lord wrap his loving arms around Terrie's family and friends, and bring them peace.

My deepest condolences to Terrie's family. I had worked with her closely some years ago as a trainer, and was fortunate to continue that relationship after she became a region manager. She was an inspiring leader and leaves behind a wonderful legacy and example for others to follow.

Terrie was a beautiful and intelligent person with a passion for life and for her work at Child Support. She always had a way of looking at things 'outside the box' and making them better. Terrie has been my supervisor and friend. She will be missed! I'll always remember how passionate she was about many things. She was very expressive and would stand for what she believed in and lead others to share in her passion. I'll always remember her laughter and wit.
