Betty Wager Obituary
Betty passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the age of 80. She was surrounded by loved ones up until the time of her death in the comfort of her daughter's home.
Born on Thursday, August 20, 1936, in Pomona CA, to the late Jack and Lois Carruthers. She was the first born of their four children. Betty grew up in San Dimas, CA and graduated from Bonita High School in 1954. From there she went on to start a family, and the many adventures of her life. She owned a flower shop for many years until she retired and settled by the beach in Dana Point, CA.
Betty was a wonderful, kind hearted woman with a beautiful smile that could light up any room. She did so much for others, and helped so many throughout her lifetime. She was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, reading, listening to the birds and watching all of the "critters" outside.
Betty was and always will be very loved by many. She will be missed. She is to be cremated and put to rest in Altadena, CA at Mountain View Mortuary amongst her relatives.

There are so many people who never even get the chance to meet their great grandparents. But I was given that chance and I will always be so grateful that I got that chance to get to know the beautiful woman that she was. I spent most of my childhood getting to know this amazing human being that I will love always and forever. Most of my favorite memories are being with her or even around her, and as always my fondest memory of her will always and forever will be waking up early after staying the night with her and walking down those steps, walking into the kitchen/living room to see her sipping her coffee and watching the humming birds fly around. As she said the "critters" I love and miss you so much my sweet great grandmother who even though I may have not known everything but yet I knew everything at the same time. You were a wonderful blessing and in my heart will always be. I love you great grandma and you will always be in my heart... I miss you.
