I believe I have the right person but I was on The Lynn Toney cartoon show when I was 7 years old and watched the show all the time. He was a very sweet, kind man and had me come down to talk and do a Pepsi commercial. Just warm memories and my heart goes out to his loved ones

Like so many children during the 1950s, I watched him on "The Lynn Toney Show". I went with my Brownies troop to be on his afternoon show. He really left me and many others with fond memories of him.

I remember him so well, doing so many good deeds. We always watched his show but never had the chance to be on it. I remember going to Morrison's cafeteria on Thursday nights as a kid. He would be there & would draw tickets to give kids prizes, & my younger sister won one night. One 4th of July my parents were on the beach in front of the Casino watching the fireworks with me & my sisters. When it was over & the lights came on, my 2 year old sister was missing. Of cours it was dark & we all panicked & feared she would get to the water in the Gulf. The crowd was helping to look as it was announced over the loud speaker that she was lost. Low & behold, all prayers were answered & an angel found her. That Angels name was Lynn Toney, & my family will always be grateful to him. I am 77 now & that sisteris 65, thanks to him. God bless you Lynn & rest in peace in our Fathers home.

Here it is 2017 and Lynn Toney and the memories of me singing on his show when I was 10 in the 50s I will never forget. Even tho we moved back to SC 1959 I have never forgot this wonderful man who was so kind and brought so much joy to so many . I am 71 and will never forgot him. I found out about his passing just by surfing the internet. Sending my condolences to the Family that he still lives on in a child's memories.

Jan, although the years have slipped by us I will always cherish the days Sunny and I were yours and Lynn's neighbors. Although I certainly knew about "The Lynn Toney Show" and watched it daily when I was a kid, it's the memories of the two of you looking out for my daughter and me that I so often think of and share. Like the time we were visiting you and we were telling Sunny about Mr. Toney's TV show, and he left the room and returned with his leopard suit, saying he'd still wear it except that you'd washed it and shrunk it!!!
His humor was legendary and how the two of you so perfectly matched, like a priceless pendant, woven together. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as will he. But I know he is living on high with God, and all the precious souls who've left us here with their timeless memories.
I love you, Jan.

Tammy,
Though I only vaguely remember your Dad in person, I shall never forget the fame of his name, which now lives on in yours. How awesome is that!
So, as no bond is as great as that between a parent and child, my deepest condolences are with you as you grieve. Please stay in touch...

Lynn, you are with the angels in Heaven! Toney family, I am sorry for your loss but we rejoice knowing he is with Jesus and fellowshipping with his family, friends and saints who have gone before him. We will see him again. As a youth, I remember Mr Toney leading worship at Trinity Baptist Church (in Ensley) for for Rev. Lynn Irwin. Our condolences from the Mock family and Rev. Irwin's wife, Kathy Irwin.

I had the pleasure of working with a Living Legend for many years at TV3, in all that time Lynn never lied to anyone and always was willing to help everyone. He made you laugh and he made you smile which is a gift in its own right. Take care Jan and may God Bless the Toney family until we all meet again!

Memories are very special and they bring us closer to the one we now mourn. As a child I went on the Lynn Toney Show for my birthday. He was always kind and nice to the children, asking us what we wanted to be when we grew up. My mom still has a leopard skin coat that reminds us of those good old days. Oh to be that young and innocent again. Thanks for the memories Mr. Toney and may God be with your family as they continue on until you meet again.

Would like to express my condolences to the entire family of Mr. Lynn Toney. I used to watch his show everytime it was on. I got to meet him in person one time somewhere between 1959 and 1961. I won a brand new bicycle on his show by saving the Circle "Fs" off of the Foremost brand milk cartons. Mr. Toney was just as nice in person as he was on TV. He did a lots of good for all of us young'uns growing up back then. Thank you. Benny Hilliard

Mrs. Toney and Family:
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. May the wonderful memories of your life together bring joy and help you in this time of sadness.
Please know that Lynn gave so many of us wonderful childhood memories. Like so many others, I too had the chance to be one of those who got to attend his show during the 50s. What fun times we had! It was a time of innocence that I wish children of today had the opportunity to experience.

On behalf of my Parents, Rev Jim and Joan Dickson (who now reside in Deland) our family extends our deepest sympathy to Mrs. Toney, Tammy, Dale and his many friends and family. We know Heaven is much brighter and that Mr. Toney is entertaining the children even now. This is not good bye for we will meet on that beautiful shore one day.
May God give you all the strength and comfort for the days ahead.

I send my heartfelt condolences to you, the family of Lynn Toney. I have such fond memories of watching and singing on your husband's and Dad's show. He provided children with such wonderful and entertaining antics to amuse us all, and he made everyone feel special in sharing their talents in the TV world. I know you miss him dreadfully, but I am sure he is jumping and entertaining fans in heaven.

As a child growing up in Pensacola, no memory is better than being on the "Lynn Toney" show. The one show I would never miss, and was on several times. If I remember right he had a cute young singer on the show that went on to become one of my favorite singers of the 50's. Her name was Teresa Brewer, or as she was called at that time "Little Teresa Brewer". Of course no one was more responsible for another future Nashville celebrity (Larry Butler) than Lynn Toney.
My thoughts are with Lynn's family. Please know that he was a big part in the lives of most of the young people of Pensacola during the 50's and early 60's. He is one part of my life that I will never forget.

Working ever day for years with Lynn was surpassed only by spending recreation time with him, such as Saturdays fishing in the Gulf and comparing vegetable gardens.
To Jan, Tammy Lynn and Dale, my condolences and thank you for sharing the life of such a very good man with me.

My friend and I went on the Lynn Toney Show one year around Christmas, and tried to sing "Blue Christmas", but I guess it was a little too blue for Mr. Toney. He got down in front of the camera and started jumping around and making faces, causing us to break up into gales of laughter. So much for "Blue" Christmas. That's my memory of him, and what a great one!!! Too bad he couldn't have lived forever. Oh! That's right !! He will!! He is with Jesus now, eternally young, and giving all the children in heaven the laugh of their life !!

Well, here's another 'kid' who was on the Lynn Toney Show. My two sisters and I sang and played the piano in WEAR's studio back then. His leopard suit...a fond memory, as well as "drinking a big glass of milk" with him in the evenings. Wish things were as good and innocent as they were back in those days! My prayers and condolences to the entire Toney family. Know that Lynn made many a child happy and proud!!

Met Mr. Toney when we were kids on his tv show. He was a wonderful man and made us all laugh when he wore that leopard suit and made us feel good about ourselves. I remember him showing everyone my long braids on his tv show. I was embarrassed as a child would be, but also very happy that I could be on tv. He made all of our lives better and we have some good memories of those times. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go with him and his family.

I give my sympathies to his family. I was a Lynn Toney fan. I visited his show several times as a little girl. He always made the show a lot of fun! I still can see him in his animal print suit. I can remember his advertising hot dogs while using us kids from the audience. I'm 55 now and I still remember telling kids at school that I got to go the Lynn Toney show and be on TV. He was a Pensacola Hero and will remain one to all who remembers him. May he always sleep with the angles. Good Night and Thank you

My condolences to the family and pray that knowing that Lynn Toney gave joy, excitement and everlasting memories to many kids growing up in Pensacola will comfort you.
I am one of the many, many, kids that went to be on the "Lynn Toney Show" with their scout troup, church, school or family group or may have even 'performed'. Those were fond memories of years gone by.
He always seemed to have more fun than anyone else. He was quite a character.
May God Bless All.

I am so sorry for the loss of Lynn Toney. I went on his show when I was about 8 years old and sang. I was so scared, but he put me at ease so I could sing. I really enjoyed that show and as a child watched daily. He and Larry Butler. He will surely be missed in the community, and I for one thank you and your family for sharing him with us. May God be with you and Your family in the coming days and help you get through your grief. Sincerely, Judy miller
