Still can't believe he has left this earth. Been thinking about him as the 4th of July approaches. I love all of the wonderful memories of auctions--Ottie's beautiful deep baritone calling bids--and of the wonderful antiques that fill out home with warm memories.

Mrs. Opperman, I only just learned of Ottie's passing, he was one of my favorite auctioneers, myself and my grandfather attended many of his auctions that included model trains, I will never forget the last auction of his we attended. We will miss him dearly, and we thank your late husband for the memories and friendship he gave to us, and for the little engines he sold us.

Mrs. Opperman, I have just learned of Ottie's passing. Please accept my family's condolences and our prayers. I always enjoyed his auctions and just talking with him and you. You might recall who I am..I always asked you if you had been in contact with Liz Johnson. Her husband, Leonard was my teacher, boss, and very good
friend. God Bless you

I'm sorry for your loss. Ottie was always there with a smile and although we only knew him from auctions he would see me or our family around Logan and would have a smile and ask how things were. He was a genuinely good person and a gifted auctioneer. I remember sitting at his sales and I would be tired by the end of the day he would still be going strong. I would close my eyes and just be happy to listen to the music of his voice and wait for our number to be called again as my husband bought just one more thing. - Sue, Chris, Cody & Jacob Addington
