Joel Coltoff Obituary

COLTOFF
JOEL B., a loving husband, immersed in the lives of his daughters, with talent as an engineer, chef, punster, and all around good guy, died Tuesday April 28, 2009 in Wyndmoor PA. During his life he gave to his wife, Laura Lipkin, the gift of 18 years of a tender and richly meaningful marriage and to his cherished daughters, Emma and Lily, the gift of his total dedication to their growth and happiness. His wife and daughters survive him. He is also survived by his adoring sisters Shari Coltoff and Beth Koren (Tedd), and his devoted mother Phyllis Brenner. Joel also leaves behind sister-in-law Gail Bauchman and brother-in-law Alan Lipkin, with whom he shared many a happy weekend, his nieces, nephew and cousins with whom he shared many a laugh. Joel's father Sheldon Coltoff predeceased him.
Joel graduated Penn State University in 1979 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and began work at Burroughs Corporation. In 1989 he joined former Burroughs' colleagues at Woodward McCoach Incorporated. He was employed there during the remaining 20 years of his professional career and experienced both great satisfaction in his work and pleasure in the collegiality.
