A church friend came back to Wayne & asked me how Lois died. I said, "What?!!" It's been over a year now and I didn't know of her passing. What a shock!! She seemed to be in such good health & painting up a storm, entering shows, loving her husband & family, etc. My heart is broken for my lovely friend not being here on this earth anymore. But I know Lois is in the arms of Jesus and I will see her again someday soon. My prayers go out to David and the adult children, grandchildren and close friends for Lois' death has left a huge hole in all of our hearts & lives. I realized that when she passed on, I was teaching English in Bosnia and didn't return until the 2nd week of August. When I did get back, I was sick on the couch for two weeks. So I didn't see anybody from church that could've told me of her passing on to her final reward. Now I have to get one of her paintings to hang on my wall, so I can feel her artistic presence for years to come and remember all the great times we had together. I love you Lois and I will miss you terribly! Hugs to you David!

So hard to believe a year has passed. Lois will be missed for a long time. We were just speaking of her when I was with her distant cousins. We all wished we had a piece of her art work. The class of COH'69 remembers her always!
RIP Lois!

My heart breaks for the whole Charles/Allen family as well as all of us who knew and loved Lois. While I would like to be at the services, I really wish I had been at Cousin's week to see and talk to her in person. She always made me smile and laugh. I am the proud owner of several of her works of art and will treasure them always. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this troubled time. Hugs to all. Love,

Lois was a cheerful soul with a welcoming and friendly face I always enjoyed encountering. I will miss pulling up a seat next to her to watch Sarah sing a gig, I will miss seeing the next collection of paintings she always so enthusiastically shared with us all and asked our help in titling them...but I will remember fond moments shared in the company of a beautifully kind and gifted spirit. Sending love to you, Lois, and to your family at this difficult time. Love, Janette

Could hardly believe when I heard about Lois. I bought a painting from her at MDP Craft Fair and got talking, telling her I always was interested in art. She told me she was going to teach in the evening at UMMS, and I took drawing classes with her. She was so nice, such a special lady. She brought in some of her paintings one time, and also her quilt she said she had started 10 years before. She was very creative and interesting. I met her over the years at Malvern Art Show, Berwyn Art gallery, and saw some of her work in Thyme Gallery (now gone) in Havertown. Also ran into her at UM Farmer's Market, where she did
face painting. I will miss running into her at these things, always a pleasure to talk with her.

Sending my sincere sympathy to Lois Family as I was so sorry to see this news. What a great lady and gifted artist. May she rest in God's Glory and I can see her painting a picture of it all. May God give you all the comfort you need at this time.

Sarah, my dear, sweet friend. I am so incredibly saddened by your family's loss. Your mother was an awesome, talented, generous woman, who always put others before herself. God bless you all as you move forward in the coming days, and know that you are surrounded by people who love you.

I last saw Lois in May at the McGopa Art Gala held at the Upper Merion township building. Her ever-cheerful self happily sat and face painted the children. It's how I will remember her. Will miss her laughter. Very saddened.
