I can't believe it has been that long. I think of Al frequently and miss discussing the state of the industry with him.

Uncle Al:
He was always a trusted confidant and advisor; always giving his full attention to you no matter what the issue was. Always present, Uncle Al was always there in good times and bad. He always had a story or a lesson to share. We will miss his "presence" and promise to perpetuate his fine legacy. Always in our hearts; we love you.

Al was always full of life, an interesting man, with a great sense of humor. He loved Operas and I always enjoyed hearing about his trips to Italy. I'll miss him.

I wish I had known Al better, he was a charming interesting man, sadly, I only met him one time. My mom, Ethel (Miller) Volinsky, spoke so fondly of him and his family. On her behalf, she will miss Al very much. She has so few family members left. Al's grandmother was my mom, Ethel's, aunt aka Tanta Vera...I think that's right.
