It is not a day goes by that I dont think about my cousin Gwen. There are so many memories to even begin to count. It is not many of us in the Potts Family that communicate but people always knew we were connected in some way at any of the many events she would have at her houses & Gwen would always tell them "she is a Potts". My my how time goes by it just seems like I was just with you at Peanut's birthday party. Aunt Gwen I can't express well enough how much you are missed in my life you're one person who could read me. My Aunt Gwen always had the right words to say at right time she was good for correction,discipline, understanding and just plain out listening to what you had to say I right to this day try to apply those values to my life everyday she taught me so much but in her last days is when everything that she had told me came full circle because she applied all of it through her last days she prayed,she gave it to God,she accepted, she didn't complain,but through it all she was ready for what my God had planned for her

Boo, two years has passed, but it seems like yesterday. I talked about you everyday, Gwen said this, or Gwen do that, and I watch our Song Video constantly, and whoever comes over has to watch it too.
You would be proud of the girls, they are doing a wonderful job, just like you taught them. Jay, Mesha and Zion are great. I see you in all of them. Of course Beverly is Beverly (smile), she looks after everybody.

When I think of Gwen, I think of us as 11 yr. old girls hand dancing at the Rec Center on Viking St. I think about the dances in the back yard, and the splash parties at the pool in Cavalier Manor back in the day. We both loved to dance. I still see that young happy sunshiny face, and the way she laughed.... that's how I will always remember Gwen. She was always sweet to me, sooo nice. Gone on home girl, you are alive in spirit forever....

Always keep your hands in the Masters' hand. Family, we say always acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. Remember all of the good times that you have shared with Gwen and it will lighten your sorrow and burdens. Even in her sickness Gwen was able to console my sister Mareera, who has now gone on to glory. You see Gwen was not a selfish person. God is still in charge and He makes no mistakes.

To Peanut and Red, I know your mother from my tenure at Social Services in Norfolk, VA. I knew her when we worked at the Old Central Office on Brambleton Ave. Peanut, I worked with you at Park Place. Your Mom was beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. She will be sorely missed. My condolences to you and your family. My God bless and comfort you. I will keep you in my prayers.

You know I will miss sending your mom, the woman that I called Puffy, funny text messages and of course seeing her smiling face at summer cookouts.
