Sophie Grogan Obituary
Norfolk - Sophie M. Grogan, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 9, 2016, at home after a long illness.
Born in Watervliet, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Caroline Sibinich. She grew up in Troy, NY, and attended Troy High School. She was a waitress most of her life. She moved to Norfolk with her daughter and set their roots there for over 40 years. Mom loved Polkas, boche ball, gardening, NY Giants, being outside and all social events with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Grogan (Diane); her brother, Stephen Sibinich and many nieces and nephews and her pup, Nemo.
The family wishes to extend thanks to Bon Secour Hospice. The family will be planning a celebration of her life at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in her honor. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com
