Eliza Darby Obituary
Virginia Beach - Eliza Hope Darby entered into the arms of her heavenly father early Friday morning, Nov. 11, 2016 at four years old. She passed peacefully in her sleep.
Every day with Eliza was one full of wonder, love, joy, and hope. She loved the smell of pinecones, the taste of popcorn, watching Bubble Guppies, and looking into the eyes of everyone she met when she extended her arms, gave them a hug, and didn't let go.
Eliza is survived by her parents Aimee and Aaron Darby, her maternal grandparents Pamela Ackley and Samuel & Majida Ackley, her paternal grandparents Mary & Lee McDaniel, as well as her maternal uncle Jeffrey and aunt Rebecca Ackley, their children Landon, Emerson, Hudson, and Daxton, her paternal uncle Kelly Darby and aunt Jennifer Snyder, her uncle Jason and aunt Monica McDaniel, their children Dawson, Vivian & Tristan, and her uncle Victor McDaniel.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of her legacy of generosity and hope, children's blankets will be collected & distributed to children in need. You may also visit Youcaring.com/elizahope to make a donation in Eliza's memory.
A viewing will be held at the Hollomon-Brown funeral home located at 1485 Kempsville Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23464 on Saturday, Nov. 19th from 12-2pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Greenbrier Church located at 1101 Volvo Pkwy, Chesapeake, VA, 23320 on Sunday, Nov. 20th at 2:00 pm.
