WYOMING - Patsy Jo Beall, 79, formerly of Wyoming, Ill., passed away and left us from her home, pain free and at rest on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014.
She was born Jan. 4, 1935, in Kewanee, Ill., and was raised in Wyoming, Ill. She was also a former resident of Gurnee, living in Libertyville for the past 20 years.
Patsy worked to put her husband Glenn through college and later they were both employed at Abbott Laboratories for 10 years. Together, they started their own plastic product design company in 1968 and as a full partner, she worked hard and was instrumental in making the company a success. She also supported her husband in his volunteer work within the plastics industry technical societies and trade associations. Her contributions in this area resulted in her being the only woman to be named as an honorary member of the Society of Plastic Engineers.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Glenn Beall, whom she met in high school; and two sisters, Mildred Worrel and Del Jacobson, both of Kewanee, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Hedley; and brother, Eldon Wheeler.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at Haskell-Hott Funeral Home, 305 N. Galena Ave., Wyoming, IL 61491.
