Leigh Herring Obituary
PEORIA - Leigh C. Herring, 39, of Peoria, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Peoria.
He was born January 4, 1981 in Peoria, IL to Robert and Diana (Elwood) Herring. He married Cassandra Tyler on March 24, 2007. He later married Michelle Sydnor on May 14, 2016 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Diana (Don) Dailey of Peoria; four children, Bradley, Janessa, Morena and Christian Herring; a twin brother, Eric (Allison Meinders) Herring of Peoria; brothers, Sherrell Stinson and Shaun Washington; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and maternal grandparents, John and Margie Elwood.
Leigh served in the U.S. Army during operation Enduring Freedom and received a Purple Heart during his service. After his service, he worked for Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville and then worked as a security guard with G4S Secure Solutions at Caterpillar downtown offices. He enjoyed working on cars, electronics, riding his motorcycle, going to the gun range and spending time with family.
Cremation will be accorded a graveside service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 11, 2020 at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
