DAVID BALLENGEE
McDERTMOTT — David Keith Ballengee, 57, of McDermott, died Friday, July 4, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 17, 1956, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Edwin Keith and Virginia "Ginny" Beckett Ballengee.
David was a lifelong employee of Waller Brothers as purchasing agent, a US Navy veteran, and a 1974 Northwest High School graduate.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Mills Ballengee, whom he married June 7, 1980, in McDermott; two daughters, Alicia Dawn (Curt) Bloomfield of Oceanside, Calif. and Brandy Michelle Evans of McDermott; four grandchildren, Katelynn, David, Raegan, and Adriann; two brothers, Randy (Belinda) Ballengee of McDermott; and Terry Ballengee of Portsmouth; one sister, Teresa (Tim) Knittle of McDermott; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth "Punk" Ballengee.
Funeral services will be conducted at Noon, Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Rhonda Morkassel officiating. Military rites will be performed by the William A. Baker and James F. Irwin Posts of the American Legion. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and an hour before the funeral Wednesday.
