Oceanna Shoemaker Obituary

Oceanna Darcel Shoemaker was born June 5, 1952 and departed this life on February 17, 2021. Oceanna was a graduate of West Side High School Class of '1970. The Mighty Cougars. Oceanna was a daughter, mother, grandmother and aunt. Her proudest moments were being a mother and grandmother. Family and friends was everything. All who knew her knew she was the biggest Smokey Robinson fan. Night and day, day and night, he could sing the telephone book and she'd buy it. She loved cooking and shared whatever she cooked for the day. Before her health took a turn, no one as a stranger of Oceanna. She would give her last if someone was in need. She had a heart of gold. Oceanna is preceded in death by her mother J. Margaret Shoemaker, brother Jerome Allen, sister Lucille Osborne and significant other Rickey Colbert. She leaves to cherish her passing son Jerome Colbert; granddaughter Da'Sheonna Colbert; two more granddaughters and one grandson; father Bernard Shoemaker; brothers Jerome (Joyce) Shoemaker, Allen (Karen) Shoemaker; sister Demetrice Shoemaker; brother-in-law Stanley Osborne and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday March 6, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. All services at the Guy & Allen Chapel. 2959 West 11th Avenue. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.

Praying for her son Jerome dad Mr.Shoemaker and family. You have my Deepest sympathy in the death but heavens game of Ocenna.
