Patricia Ford

1950 - 2021

Patricia Ford passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at her residence. On Dec. 30, 1950, in Gary, IN Patricia was born from the union of Jackson and Hollie Todd. She was the third eldest of four children. Rudy Lee Todd helped to raise her and 3 siblings. In 1970 she was united to Thomas L Ford Sr. where their union produced 5 amazing children. Patricia began her career at Montgomery Wards where she broke barriers being one of the first black females in management. After 25+ years Patricia retired. Patricia had a passion for cooking, reading, and taking care of her family. Preceding her in death is Mother Hollie Elizabeth Todd, Father Jackson Todd, Mother Ruby Lee Todd), Husband Thomas L. Ford Sr; Sister Emma Todd, Brother Andrew Todd. She leaves to cherish her memory Sister Sallie Todd, 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren, a host of other family and friends. Visitation Friday, May 21, 2021, from 9 to 2:00 pm with funeral immediately following at 2:00 pm all at the Guy & Allen Funeral Chapel, 2959 W. 11th Ave. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
