Thomas R. Lindberg, Combined Locks, age 82, died peacefully on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Manor Care with his family by his side. He was born on June 26, 1930 in Appleton son of the late Edward J. and Anna (Carroll) Lindberg. Tom was an US Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. On October 5, 1957 he married Alice Hupfauf at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton. The couple resided 55 years in Combined Locks. Tom retired in 1992 from Appleton Paper - Combined Locks Mill. He was an avid reader, golfer, loved to throw a horseshoe, "peg a win" in cribbage, and fill a card in bingo. Tom loved to have his friends stop by and visit him in his workshop. He had a special love for nature be it caring for his orchard, producing fresh produce, or taking walks in the woods. Tom was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Combined Locks.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Alice, Kaukauna; their children: Janice (See) and her children, Bobby (Kimberly) Stojakovic and daughter Harley, and Stacy Stojakovic; Joan (John) Vaughn; Patti (Rick) Freimuth and their children, Joel and Andy Pringle, Vanessa, Camrin, and Jocelyn; Karen (Steve) Maahs and their daughters, Taylor and Stephanie; Allen (Becky) Lindberg and their children, Erik, Anna, and Evan; Keith (Laura) Lindberg and their children, Dillon (Melody) Kunz, Leslie, and Zachery; Jane (Jeff) Molus and their children, Thomas, Alison, and April; 2 brothers: Edward (Arlene) Lindberg, Florida and Charlie Lindberg, Sherwood. He is further survived by his wife's family: Betty Jansen, Arlene Kasten, Sr. Paulette Hupfauf, Henry (Debbie) Hupfauf, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons-in-law: Paul See and Donald Pringle; 2 sisters-in-law: Ardene Lindberg and Pat Lindberg. He is further preceded in death by his wife's family: Henry and Olive Hupfauf, Archie Jansen and son Jim, Leonard Kasten, LaVerne (Lou) Van Rossum and daughter, Anna.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at ST. Paul CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace Street, Combined Locks with Fr. Andrew Kysely officiating. Friends will be received directly at church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
