SIDNEY STEINGART Obituary
Age 91, on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Beloved husband of Esther "Essie" Krikstone Steingart and the late Helen Bloom Steingart; devoted father of Marc Steingart (Judith Gross), Steve Steingart (Dr. Selma Witchel), Stevie Krikstone, Phyllis (Dr. Hobart) Harris, and the late Dr. Barry Krikstone; father-in-law of Ellen Krikstone. Sidney was predeceased by three siblings. Cherished grandfather of Ariel Steingart (Brian) Silver, Elliot Steingart, Michael Siegel, Dr. Jessica (Dr. Michael) Christian, Kenneth Harris (Dr. Allison Tobey), Melissa (Alan) Boreman, David (Sarah) Krikstone, and Jody (Dana) Mahoney; great-grandfather of Oscar, Lucas, Matthew, Jonah, Lily Esther, Maya, Simon, and Dylan. Sidney was a WWII Navy Veteran. He was a passionate insurance and investment broker who loved ping-pong, tennis, poker, and bowling. His upbeat positive attitude endeared him to all he met. He will be forever missed by family and friends. Services at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside, on Thursday at 1 p.m. Visitation one hour prior to Services (Noon - 1 p.m.). Interment Workman's Circle Branch #45 Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Family Hospice & Palliative Care, 310 Fisk Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201.
