I met Bernice (Aunt B) when she and I worked in the legal department of Westinghouse in the city. Bernice was everyone's friend. How she would make Donna and I laugh. She lit up the office. We reconnected a few years ago and we would exchange brief notes/ltrs. She decorated the envelopes with little pictures and always with the words "TO LOVE AND BE LOVED" on each one. She made immediate friends with an enormous amount of people through all her different jobs in the city she adored. She enjoyed going into town and would often take the bus into the city even as she grew older. I will remember her fantastic sense of humor and her positive outlook. Even though she didn't have her own she loved children and often talked about those in her own family. It was sincerely my honor to have known her and call her friend. Pittsburgh has lost one if its dear treasures. And yes, Aunt B, you truly were Loved.

I worked with Bernice at the South Hills Village Theater which later became Carmike 10. I enjoyed her stories of all the neighborhoods she lived in around Pittsburgh. In later years when I would run into her she was often talking to other friends who were out and about. It seemed like she knew half of the town. She was Aunt B to many and was loved and will be missed.

Bernice, I am so happy I was able to talk with you via phone so often. We shared all our childhood memories! We laughed and cried together! Rest now and I am going to miss you! Till we meet again!

I recall working with Bernie Iole at Westinghouse Electric offices in downtown Pgh. around 1980, when I did temporary work. She enjoyed her Italian heritage and cuisine. We had ravioli for lunch at a nearby Italian place often. She was a kind and generous lady that I was happy to have known. I have thought about her through the decades. May her soul rest in peace.

I also met Bernice at Lazarus and enjoyed her wit. I think of her often with fondness. She was a very nice woman.

I'm so sorry to hear of Bernice's passing. I have known her a long time, she lived down the street from me in Castle Shannon. Also, we met while working at Lazarus. She was such a sweet lady and I was blessed to have known her.
