JANAKIS JOHN G.
Age 81, of Penn Hills, passed away on Sunday, November 30 2014. Beloved husband of Pauline (Paonessa) Janakis; loving father of Ross (Wendy) Janakis, Lisa (William) Purnell, and John Janakis; grandfather of Michael, Erin, Mario, and Kayla; brother of Florence Palmer, Gloria Dombrowsky, and the late Wilda Dankis. John was an Army veteran and a postal worker for the Pittsburgh/North Side Post Office for 30 years. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed gardening and reading, and loved his Pittsburgh sports teams. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE / PLUM CHAPEL), corner of (445) Beatty Rd. and 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747), where a Blessing Service will be Tuesday, 8:30 p.m. Private interment with Military Honors will occur in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
