Tragically, on Sunday, October 5, 2014, Kimberly A. (Cotter) Darges, of Bethel Park. Loving daughter of Sondra (McNeely) and the late Michael Cotter; wife of David Darges; loving mother of David, Amanda, Ryan and Brooke Darges; sister of Kelly Ugel and the late Keith Cotter; also survived by sister-in-law, Anna Cotter and numerous nieces and nephews. Kim worked for UPMC. Friends received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the GRIFFITH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5636 Brownsville Road, South Park Twp. Funeral Prayer Friday 10:15 a.m. with Services in Bethany Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Condolences may be offered for the family at:

I carry with me a heavy heart after finding this devastating news out. Kim was such a great coworker, and an amazing friend. She always kept a positive spirit, even when those around her did not. She was so ambitious and full of life. She was always there to talk to and give me advice. I will always rememebr her and carry our memories with me. My heart goes out to her family in this difficult time. I am deeply sorry I could not attend the funeral since I am still on deployment. My Navy family sends their thoughts and prayers with you. I will miss you so much, Kim. I know you are watching over us and shining your rays down, as you already were. Rest easy.

Words cannot express how heavy my heart is to find out this devastating news. Kim was a great coworker and an excellent friend. She always kept such a positive spirit, even when others did not. She always was there to talk to me and give me advice. We passed the days with laughter and stories. She was so ambitious and free. My heart is with her family in this hard time. I am so upset I could not attend the funeral since I am still on deployment. The whole Navy family sends their hearts out to you, Kim. I will miss you and you will always be in my heart.

My deepest condolences to your family on the loss of Kim. Though we met under the most bizarre circumstances, she never failed to be the true ray of SUNSHINE that her nickname implied.
