SUSAN DEVEANEY Obituary
Susan, 48, of McDonald, Robinson Twp., died Monday, February 6, 2012, in Sewickley Hospital. She was born May 8, 1963, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late James L. Bushmire, Sr. and Rita Eileen (Lukan) Bushmire. Mrs. Deveaney was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Richard Deveaney, Sr.; sons, Richard, Jr., Michael and Mathew Deveaney, all of McDonald; brothers, James Bushmire of Sturgeon and Frank Bushmire of Midway; sister, Margi Sartori of FL and mother- in-law, Betty Deveaney of McDonald. Friends will be received 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the THOMAS-LITTLE FUNERAL SERVICE, INC., 314 W. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald (724-926-2800). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick R.C. Church, Noblestown Road, Oakdale. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Please sign the guestbook at

My dear sister, Words can not express how much I miss you. You were not only my sister, you were my best friend. Yes, we had our differences, and we had our fights when we were growing up, but you were always my rock. You are by far the most incredible person I have ever known. A day will not go by that I don't think of you and your infectious smile and beautiful dimples. I hope you find peace with Mom and Dad. I have no worries because you have left behind a wonderful husband and 3 tremendous sons who will keep your memory alive for me And all who had the priveledge of knowing you. I LOVE YOU.

To Susan's family and friends,
I was so stunned to hear of the news of Susan's passing. My brother Donnie and were part of the close-knit group of kids that grew up in Sturgeon with Susie and Margi. I will always remember her infectious smile and her beautiful dark braided pig-tails. We spent many a summer day swimming at Susie Potts' pool--seems like just yesterday...
Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve the loss of your mother, wife, sister, daughter-in-law, niece, cousin and friend.
May God's grace lift you through these difficult weeks ahead.
