VERA JACOBETZ Obituary
Age 87, of West Mifflin, passed away on August 31, 2014. Vera is survived by her loving children, Charles Jacobetz, Jr., wife Francis, Tina (Jacobetz) Ganch, husband, William, Michael A. Jacobetz, wife, Philomena, Marlene Jacobetz and Mark Steele; also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles R. Jacobetz, Sr.; daughter, Tina (Jacobetz) Ganch; and her parents, Vincent and Marie Alice Leone. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 4, 2014, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pittsburgh, PA. Blessing Service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place in the Jefferson Memorial Park. I have know Vera my whole life. Nordeen Dr. is missing another of the "good ones". I was away when I heard about it. My girlfriend Anita worked with her at Sears. Rest In Peace.

I only have wonderful memories of Gram/GG...she was great...so loving. She's with my mom now (Teen) and that makes me smile....

My mother and Vera were best of friends and are now together again in heaven. Vera was like a 2nd "Mom" to me. I remember the great times we had at the Jacobetz house on Christmas Eve and the many times our families spent together including school picnics at Kennywood Park.
My condolences to Jake, Mickey, Marlene, and all members of the Jacobetz family.

Gram is what I called this fireball of a lady. I remember all the love she pored on me at an early age. I always enjoyed her way of words lol... she showed me strength and how to endure so much. She was a tuff cookie.. I love you and will miss you.. I know you are in heaven looking down on me... What a beautiful lady. Kisses love you!
