Mary Melice Obituary

MARY K. MELICE, 72, OF NORRISTOWN Mary K. (Clark) Melice passed away peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton. She was 72. Mrs. Melice was a resident of Norristown. She worked for Balgo as a driver of disabled children. Mary was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norristown, PA. She loved auctions and shopping at QVC. Born in Sunbury, PA on October 18, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Rosemary E. (Houck) Clark. She was the wife of the late Joseph "Joe Black" Melice, Sr., who died in 2008. Surviving is her loving family including two sons, Steve V. Melice and his wife, Linda, of E. Norriton, and Mark C. Melice and his wife, Jennifer, of Collegeville; two daughters, Rosemarie A. Melice of Spring City, and Stacy M. Ratkowski and her husband, Edward, of Conshohocken; a step-son, Joseph Melice and his wife, Michele, of Lansdale; a step-daughter, Sandra Tammaro and her husband, Antimo, of Phoenixville; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Mark Clark and his wife, Margaret, of Ocala, FL; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy M. Melice; and a brother, Joseph W. Clark, Jr. Mary's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 600 Hamilton St., Norristown, PA 19401 on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 10 A.M. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday morning from 9 to 9:50 A.M., at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd., Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422. my sister was always, my good friend as well as a sister. although miles seperated us. we always came together when i came to pa.. at the jeffersonville dunkin dounts for coffee and a donut. I will miss her as she and i had many memories together.
