Daniel C. Thompson Jr.
of Binghamton
Daniel C. Thompson Jr., 68, of Binghamton, died on Monday, December 5, 2005 at his home. He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel Sr. and Guynita. He is survived by his wife, Oili Thompson, Binghamton; son, Dan Thompson, Binghamton; daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Craig Majka, Binghamton; sister, Barbara Whisnant, Shelby, N.C.; grandchildren, Hannah and Nolan Majka; a niece and nephews, Linda, Bill and Gary. He was a 13-year veteran of the Air Force, formerly employed at Link Aviation and retired from Universal Instruments. He was dedicated to Christian service at Conklin Ave. First Baptist, Hands of Hope Ministries, where he was a member, and the Gideons International.
A Memorial Service will be held in Friday at 6 p.m. at the Hands of Hope Ministries, 270 Robinson St., Binghamton. His pastors, the Rev. Steve Briggs, Rev. Ward Yourdon and Rev. Lee Prong, will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St., Johnson City. Donations in his memory may be made to the Hands of Hope Ministries, 270 Robinson St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13904, or Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800 Nashville, Tenn. 37214-0800.
