(Williams) Phalen
of Johnson City
Evelyn V. (Williams) Phalen, 99, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord at her home Saturday evening July 31, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband Francis W. Phalen, October 25, 1990. She is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews William and Bonnie Phalen, Thomas and Marilyn Phalen, Mary (Phalen) and Robert Kuhn, James and Dorothy Phalen, Martin and Stephanie Phalen, many other nieces and nephews; and many special friends. Evelyn was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Johnson City and a member of the Ladies Bible Class and Golden Heirs. She was a registered nurse graduating from Charles S. Wilson Memorial Hospital.
Funeral and committal services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc. ,150 Main St., Johnson City, Thursday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Robert Kadlecik will officiate. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of Johnson City Memorial Fund, 1321 Reynolds Rd., Johnson City, NY 13790 in Evelyn V. Phalen's memory.

Aunt Ev - We will miss you. Good memories always of our visits with you and Uncle Fran. Heaven just got a lot more fun with you and Fran handing out quaters to folks. Rest in peace and thank you for your loving kindness.

It has been a long time sense i have been back in Binghamton area and when Grace & I did we would stop by and see Evelyn & and Aunt Blanch accost the street. My mom Helen & dad Gus had lots of good times with Evelyn & Fran God bless her and our sympathy to the family Norm & Grace Atwater

The staff and volunteers of Meals on Wheels of Western Broome were pleased to be able to help Evelyn with home delivered meal serivces since 2006. We hope that the service was of value to Evelyn and her family and helped her remain in her own home. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time of loss.

Evelyn was a precious sister in Christ and member of our Sunday School Class. She was such an encourager to me and I really missed her after I moved away. Her belief in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior is a comfort to those of us who will miss her, but look forward to seeing her again one day in the presence of our Lord.
