He also served his Lord through his membership at Port Dickinson Community Baptist Church where he was always active with the care and planning of the facilities. He continued his community service through Kiwanis for many years. Jerry began working at Link Aviation in 1941 when Link Trainers were an important part of the World War II effort and on into the development of the first simulators for the space program. After retirement in 1972, he was clerk of the works for several construction projects, then became involved in the redevelopment of Girl Scouts of Indian Hills Council's Camp Amahami. His passion was working with wood in his shop, so he became a member of the Stephen's Square Art Gallery in 1977, to exhibit and sell his creations. Many people have beautiful pieces to remember him by. His family would like to thank Lourdes at Home, Hospice, his faithful friends through the years, and his caregivers, especially Gwen Mungo.
