Here I am vacationing with grandchildren in NC - with a few quiet minutes of reflection, and for some reason the Hal Webb team song "He´s Everything to Me" came to mind from 60 years ago in Richmond, VA. So I googled the team - and celebrate the wonderful reflections here of lives well lived. I am among those grateful for spiritual enrichment from them, including great fun nights (in sometimes too stuffy churches!). The children (plus grands and greats) of the righteous are blessed for many generations - so that is our prayer for both families of this team. God bless you all.

I grew up with the Hal Webb Evangelistic Team from August 1985 to June 2001. I attended Middletown Area Bible Church and every summer was Vacation Bible School. I always went because of the Hal Webb Evangelistic Team. They always brought wonderful memories. I love their music and especially "I'm No Kin to the Monkey", "He just looked up" and "Dem Bones". That's just to name a few. I always loved Dr. Webb and Dr. Babcock going back and forth on He just looked up, up, up up... I love Dr. Babcock when he did his 4 minutes to make a new song. Boy was he good. I always loved Dr. Webb's magic tricks and always had a bible theme to his tricks. I also loved when he played the Theremin. I can remember when he played "His Eye is on the Sparrow." Always brought tears to my face. The other thing that I loved about when Dr. Webb came with his stories of "The Caterpillar who wanted to be a butterfly" and "The Crow that wanted to be a pigeon." The most funny thing was when we did the penny race. We always had it boys against girls. Every year was a different object that they had hung from a fishing line from one end of the church to the other. Then they would collect pennies every day at VBS and after they counted it, they would move the object to the other end of the church. The Boys always had Dr. Webb and the Girls section had our former pastor, Dr. Joseph P. Pagano Jr. We had a friendly competition where we would chant STOP for the girls and GO for the boys. Dr. Webb would act funny and try to push it forward by his hand movements. Pastor Pagano would try to push it backwards when it was the boys. Boy do I miss them. I am so glad that Dr. Webb personally brought the plan of Salvation to the Children and the parents who came that night.

I have great memories of the Hal Webb - Theron Babcock team when they ministered at 1st Baptist, Cherry Creek, NY. They stayed at our home. My memory was stirred because my brother found a photo taken at old-fashioned night and we are all (father, mother, 2 girls, 2 boys) dressed in late 1800s clothing which was saved from great- grand parents and stored in our attic. Great memories. I am glad I will see him again in robes of white in heaven.

Just read of Dr Webb's passing. I remember how he and Theron joyfully included music as part of their message when I heard them in the 1970's. Now as a retired science teacher, I'm still teaching the song ,"I'm No Kin to the Monkey" whenever I teach the Genesis story of Creation. To God be the glory !

Our deepest sympathy goes to the Webb family. We rejoice that he is in the presence of the Lord that is the greatest day in a Christians Life but we who are left grieve for the Loss. I thought everyone new Hal. I grew up with him coming to our church Tabernacle Baptist in Wmspt.Pa If they did not know Him that was their loss. You all are in our Prayer.
Ps I bet he and my dad are already talking together..

Certainly our hearts grieve over our dear Brother Hal's departure from this life - BUT how we rejoice that he is in the presence of the Lord he served so faithfully! We have such fond memories - first when we served in Youth for Christ - and Hal & Theron were in charge of the music/choir at the Eastern Regional YFC Conference at Ocean City, NJ. -Then how blessed we've been the many times the team ministered in the 3 churches we pastored over the past 45 years. Our sons were always delighted when Hal and Theron came to spend a week and the times they spent with us in our home.

We express our heartfelt sympathy to Nell Sue and the whole family and trust that even in the Memorial Service some will come to know the Lord - and others dedicate themselves to carry on the work of the ministry.
Blessings,

My beliefs are not the same as I was taught but I do believe Dr Webb or Grandpa as he let me call him was a shining light in a dark hypocritical world. I hope God wraps His arms around Mrs Webb during her time of sorrow. His team is one good memory I have of my childhood.

My heart was saddened by the news that Hal had been called HOME. I've known Hal over many, many years and have been blessed by his testimony and messages. We are thankful that God will comfort our hearts in these difficult days.

I give thanks to God for Dr. Webb's testimony of steadfastness in the work of the Lord. I remember reading his name and works YEARS ago when I was first in Bible School. To read of his homegoing reminds me that it is worth it all for God's glory. Yet it is also a vivid testimony that our work does have a limited time here on earth (Heb. 9:22). Thank you for that reminder, too, to continue steadfast (1 Cor. 15:58) until God sees fit to call us Home to glory.
May our Savior Himself be your comfort in your time of sorrow. And may Dr. Webb's vision of ministry continue through you and your work where God has wisely planted each of you his family, for God's glory.
