Helen E. Chase
of Binghamton, N.Y.
Helen E. Chase, 82, passed away August 24, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. She was the wife of Howard L. Chase, who died in 1995. Born in Hancock, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elsie Mumford Carpenter. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Long and wife, Carol, Conklin, N.Y., and Lawrence Lewis, Binghamton, N.Y.; one daughter, Donna Starken and husband, William, Binghamton, N.Y.; one sister, Doris Posten, Binghamton, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Elwin, Carl, Walter, Dwayne and Albert Carpenter; one sister, Ellamae Campbell. She retired from Singer Link in Kirkwood, N.Y., where she was an inspector.
The funeral will be Monday, August 28, 2006, with services at 11:30 a.m. from All Saints Episcopal Church, 475 Main Street, Johnson City, N.Y., with the Rev. Christine J. Day, Pastor, officiating. Interment, Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, N.Y. Friends may call Monday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Arrangements by Carmine J. & Louis C.
