Kenneth E. Klippel
of Raquette Lake
and Binghamton
Kenneth E. Klippel, 72, formerly of Raquette Lake and Binghamton, died August 29, 2008 in Asheville, N.C., where he had resided since March of this year. He was raised in Ilion and graduated from high school in 1954. He served in the US Navy and graduated from Utica College of Syracuse University as a mathematics major in 1963. Ken was employed as a Program Engineer for the Link Corp. in Binghamton, where he worked on commercial airlines and the Apache helicopter. Upon retirement he moved to Raquette Lake until his move to Asheville. Ken was a 50 year Mason and a member of Northwoods Masonic Lodge in Old Forge and was also a Scottish Rite Mason. He is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ardis and Curtiss Gilbert, Asheville, and Carol Piser, Tampa, Fla.; a niece Kristine Piser, Orlando; and two nephews, Darren Gilbert, Clinton, Tenn., and Daniel Gilbert, Gastonia, N.C.
Friends are invited to attend a service on Saturday, October 4th, at 11 a.m. at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 128 Fern Avenue, Old Forge, which will be conducted by the Northwoods Masonic Lodge. Friends may consider the Old Forge or Raquette Lake Fire Depts. in his memory.

Ken and I worked many years together at Link. He was a great guy to work with and I'm sorry to hear that he had to leave us. Ken is now with the Lord. God Bless.

Ken was a wonderful friend to my late husband Cliff. They shared many fishing adventures and a long working relationship at Link. He was always kind and sent nice cards regualarly to inquire about how our family was doing after my husbands death. Our deepest sympathy to family and friends.
