Marie Rouhana, our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on April 4, 2012 while at home and surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her father, Sleiman, mother Sumaia, step-son, Nabil Rouhana and siblings Tanous, Olga, and Shamma, and husband Mikhael. She is survived by her step children Labib, Anise and Nazih Rouhana, all of Ammik Lebanon, Naoum Rouhana of Manila, Phillipines, Amal Toloczko of Wilmington, North Carolina (Nicholas and Anthony), Inaam and Paul Talerico of Clayton, North Carolina (Vincent, Michael and Joseph) and Adib and Nicole Rouhana of Binghamton, NY (Ziyad, Zane, Zachary, Zoey and Zavien); brother-in-law, Rouhana (Essaf) Rouhana; nephews Nassir El Hage of Cleveland, Ohio and Rafik El Hage of Montreal, Canada. Grandchildren in the United States include Michele Barber and husband Richard James (Grant, Lily, Anderson), Michael Rouhana and wife Christon, both of Vestal, New York. She is survived by a total of 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren both here and in Lebanon. Born January 1, 1928 in Zahle, Lebanon, she relocated to New York in 1982 with her husband and family where she became a United States citizen in 1996. She lived in the Binghamton area for over twenty years and most recently relocated to Clayton, NC in 2010. Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be greatly missed. She will be remembered for her strong faith in God regardless of the circumstances, her sense of humor, and her hospitality and love toward all people. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday April 21, 2012 at 10AM at St. Vincent's De Paul Church, 165 Clifton Blvd, Vestal, NY.
